Tips For a Happy Valentine's Day While Still Saving Money

Tips for guys -girls love sentiment. It's not always the size of the gift but it is always about how much of yourself you have put into the gift. Men sometimes get confused and think that all they have to do to make a woman happy is to buy her a big present ( getting the secretary to buy anything big or small is so very, very inappropriate) and she "should" be happy. Then they wonder why spending all that money on the girl hasn't made her happy. There will always be exceptions to the rules of course, but all the women I know would be much happier with a card containing a poem hand written and composed by the one they love than an expensive bunch of roses.

Remembering her favorite flower, her favorite movie, her favorite song and presenting her with that on Valentines Day will mean more than a box of chocolates.Girls like to know you "made and effort" Try and tailor your gift to suit your special someone. She wants to know that you notice her.Knowing her likes and dislikes shows her that you are important to her. It may sound crazy to a guy that remembering a girl's favorite song makes a difference in the relationship, but it does.Things that we like or are important to us stick in our minds. Things that don't have meaning to us get sent to the trash bin in our minds. So take something that relates particularly to your loved one and weave it into your message of caring on Valentine's Day.

Tips for girls - guys aren't all that big on sentiment Haven't you noticed when you get all misty about something really sentimental they wonder what all the fuss is about?I know I'm not telling you something you don't already know. It's not that they have less heart; it's just that different things are important to guys. So include something sweet for your guy if you think he will appreciate it (my guy appreciates more sentiment than most guys) but focus more on the practical.

Practical things will get your guys attention.Whereas you will enjoy a romantic dinner mainly because it is romantic, he may well enjoy it because the food tastes great. You will remember the restaurant because it was a wonderfully romantic night and he may remember it because it had his favorite drink on the menu or that the prices were reasonable. It doesn't mean he doesn't care, guys are just wired differently to girls.

So the biggest tip to having a happy Valentine's Day is to appreciate where each other is coming from and don't expect them to be different to what they are. Appreciate how each other expresses your feelings and don't get caught up comparing them to anyone else.Appreciation will always make you feel better than disappointment. So when you appreciate the effort your Valentine makes be it big or small, both the giver and the receiver will enjoy the day and who knows what next year will bring.

Here are some Low Cost Valentine's Gift ideas you might like to try:

  1. Fill the trunk of his/her car with balloons and big write a love note on the inside. When they open the trunk all the balloons will fly out and they will get a wonderful surprise.
  2. Cook him a special dinner at home and give him a token that says - "we are having a special diner tonight and part of your present is that you get to choose what I wear - if anything" This one appeals to his stomach and other things.

Whatever you do make it memorable.
